9 Adorable DIY Christmas Ornaments

By Stacey Freeman 1 Comment

DIY Christmas ornaments hold a special place in my heart. The Santa whose mouth opened when you pinched the sides, and the clothes pin reindeer, were always my favorites, and both were homemade. Homemade ornaments are special because of the time, love and creativity used to create them.  They ... View Post

How to Dress for Thanksgiving

By Stacey Freeman Leave a Comment

Deciding how to dress for Thanksgiving can be chore, but it doesn’t have to be. Thanksgiving is synonymous with family, food, football and passing out on the couch after one-too-many slices of turkey, but there is no reason you can’t be stylish and fashionable even if you’re having a more low-key ... How to Make a Low-Sugar, All-Natural Healthy First Birthday Cake

By Stacey Freeman 15 Comments

For Rocco’s first birthday cake, I set out to find a healthier alternative to the ‘smash cake’ tradition. I was overweight as a young adult, so introducing my son to healthy foods and building a solid foundation of good nutrition is very important to me. Since beginning solids six months ago, ... View Post

Lemon Blueberry Muffins with Ginger Streusel Topping

By Stacey Freeman 4 Comments

During both of my pregnancies, I’ve had this strange obsession with all things lemon. There are nights where I drool just thinking about a tall glass of lemonade. For someone who was never really that into lemons or lemon products, this pregnancy ‘craving’ is quite the newfound obsession. While ... View Post

If Roc Could Talk…Pregnancy Announcement

By Stacey Freeman 7 Comments

Sixty-three years ago today, Charles Schwartz introduced the world to the “Peanuts” comic strip.  As a child, I lived for the nights when I got to stay up extra late to watch “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown”.  We even had copies on VHS that my sister and I ... Babies on a Plane 2: Flying with Infants

By Stacey Freeman 4 Comments

A few weeks ago I wrote here about Rocco’s first trip on an airplane.  The thought of a four-plus hour flight was not appealing, but whatever discomfort I felt the first time around wasn’t enough to keep me from braving the not-so-friendly skies.  Even though I knew better, only a few weeks later, I ... Keep Calm Beauty Balm: Finding the Right BB Cream

By Stacey Freeman 1 Comment

In my late 20s, my skin started to show signs of sun damage, like age spots and broken capillaries.  Pregnancy gave me melasma, which causes more discoloration on my face. My skin, suffice it to say, is starting to show its age. I thought it was time to try one of the many products on the market ... View Post

Oatmeal Molasses Cookies with Apricots

By Stacey Freeman 1 Comment

How did I come up with Oatmeal Molasses Cookies with Apricots? Awhile back, my friend Pam sent me a picture of some tarts she had purchased from a nearby bakery that they looked ridiculously good.  They were from the Blackmarket Bakery in the Camp. I finally made my way over there a couple of weeks ... View Post

O.M.G, So Posh!

I can’t guarantee I’ll ever have the patience to make these cheese crackers, but I love the idea of making these homemade instead of buying the processed version.  Maybe a rainy, lazy Sunday in the fall will bring me some inspiration. Royal Crumble: Best NYC Cupcakes

The taxi driver failed to realize that 83rd was one way, so we had him drop us off at the corner and decided to hoof it the half block to Nicole’s Upper East Side apartment. The bag I’m most crushing on right now.  I love this new smaller version, and I’ll be hunting for a deal. Roasted asparagus is one of my favorites, but this recipe would be a fun way to change it up. Five Overlooked Moving Tips

By Stacey Freeman Leave a Comment

As I once again prepared to pack up my belongings for yet another move, I sat back to count the number of times I’ve moved since leaving my parents’ house for college. The number is 15. Bringing Babies to Bars, is it Appropriate?

Happy Saturday friends! What are you up to this we Happy Saturday friends! What are you up to this weekend?

I’m feeling extra grateful to live in LA today. We woke up bright and early, drove 10 minutes, and shot a campaign at the beach all before 8am.

Sometimes I can’t even believe this is my life. We have built a thriving business that allows me to go to the beach and take photos with my kids. But for the non-influencers out there, it is not easy. It is 24/7 and it’s taken me 9 years of consistent effort to get here. Nevertheless, I am thankful. What are you thankful for today?

By the way, make sure to check out the link in my profile so you can take a peek at my new children’s book, A Thankful Book for Kids, which launches next Tuesday! You can preorder on Amazon today!

I still can hardly believe I’m a published children’s book author. This isn’t my first time being published; I’ve written many academic papers and even a book chapter with a colleague about museum activism. But a children’s book? I never imagined or dreamed I could.

Now it’s only 5 more days until my first children’s book hits stores! You can preorder now on Amazon. I appreciate your love and support. Link in stories!
