I recently got this white embroidered dress for a trip to Mexico. Unfortunately, the trip got postponed, but this dress is still perfect for summer. I chose it because I thought the embroidered flowers felt very appropriate for Mexico, but I think an embroidered floral dress can be great for any summer day or summer vacation.
One of the reasons I really love this dress is because the wrap shape works so well to define a waistline and accentuate my shape. The v-neck elongates the body while the wrap really shows off the hourglass shape. I also love the flowy ruffle hem and the swiss dots on the dress. If you don’t know what swiss dots are, it is a fashion term that is consistently used for clothing that has monochromatic dots on them. Although it’s rather hard to see, this dress does have white dots all over it. The swiss dots add an interesting texture to dresses like this one.
The Perfect Vaction Dress
I also love this dress specifically for vacations because it will pack down really small and is the type of dress you could wear as a cover-up, out for dinner at night, or wear to go shopping around town. It’s great for a pool coverup because the wrap style with the tie waist is super easy to take on and off. You don’t have to put it over your head to take it on and off. The reason I love this dress for both day and night time is because it can easily be dressed up or down simply by changing your shoes and acessories.
To style this embroidered floral dress, I decided to pair it with a bold pink heel that matches the embroidered flowers. I also wore some fun white sunglasses that have pink reflective lenses. I added a cute vintage Chanel bag with a flower to complete the look. Also, I added a few necklaces for a little visual interest at the neckline.
