Have you found your perfect one piece swimsuit for summer yet? This summer, I decided to try one of the many red swimsuits I’d seen in stores and online. The one I chose is under $40 and totally flattering. It’s my own little Baywatch swimsuit moment.
I personally prefer a one piece bathing suit because they provide me the coverage I need while I’m playing with my two littles. When we’re at the beach, they are running around, playing in the waves, or building sand castles, and I want to be able to be active with them. A one-piece allows me the freedom to play without fear of over exposure.
If you haven’t been to the store or shopped online lately, the selection of one piece swimsuits – especially a red swimsuit, are quite amazing. When I look for a one piece, I tend to focus on fun details that make the suit unique. The one I’m wearing has fun cut sides, which shows a little extra skin and also gives me great waist detail.
I used to prefer suits that had trunks, to cover more of my legs, butt and thigh. I actually have found that high cut legs are more flattering than lower cut legs or trunks. When I shop for one piece suits, I also look for lower-cut necklines. I think they are more flattering than higher necks. V-neck and scoop neck swimsuits are amongst my favorite.
In terms of the top, I do prefer suits that have built-in underwires. A shelf bra works too, for added support. I also love when one-piece suits have straps that are adjustable. That way, you can tighten or loosen them to add extra support to your bust line.
