3 Reasons You Need a Black Jumpsuit in Your Wardrobe

I recently received a trunk from Trunk Club with some spring finds. I collaborated with them last spring, and loved my experience so much, that I decided to try them again (this isn’t sponsored). The thing that I love about Trunk Club (or any other subscription clothing box) is that you get to try things you likely wouldn’t pick for yourself. I’ve tried jumpsuits in the past, but I just never found one that was very flattering. Most of the time, they would be too short in the torso for me, or just make me look extra bulky. I didn’t have overly high hopes for the black jumpsuit they sent me. But when I tried it on, I knew it was a keeper.

It is the best feeling when you are sure something isn’t going to work on you and then you try it and it fits like a glove. This black jumpsuit is perfect for me for a couple of reasons. first, it has a faux wrap front with a deep V neck, which is so elongating. I also like that it has a very defined waist line, which shows off my hourglass figure. Also, I love that this black jumpsuit has slim legs. I personally find the jumpsuits with flowy legs just don’t flatter me at all.

At first, I thought this jumpsuit might be a little too body con for me. It definitely shows off my curves. But it also is still very covered up, which I appreciate. I also like that it has short sleeves so it will work well year-round. It would be super easy to throw on a jacket and booties for a fall/winter look. Or, you could pair it with strappy heels for a spring/summer look.

If you’re looking for a new outfit that is super versatile, I think you should check out a black jumpsuit. This particular one can even work for day or night depending on how you style it. It’s definitely a wardrobe staple I know I’m going to wear a lot this year.
