I Miss The Colors of the Caribbean, Take Me Back!

This was not my first trip to the Caribbean. I went to the Bahamas (part 1 and part 2) back in 2014. But in those four years, I forgot about its beauty. I forgot just how indescribable the colors of the Caribbean are.

Even though it looks pretty great in a photo, the colors of the Caribbean are really hard to truly capture. I wanted to share some more of my pictures, because I have hundreds, and they take my breath away. If you’ve followed me for awhile, you know I’m into colors. I never miss the chance to post a photo of an amazing sunset. I’m equally mesmerized by street art – basically anything ultra colorful. Someone told me I see more colors than the average person. I haven’t done any work to see if that’s true, but I do love me some colors. In nature, and in the manmade world too.

The thing about the colors of the Caribbean is that they can be very bright, but they can also be very muted. Looking back at my IG feed from my recent trip, I noticed this softness, this pastel effect. The spectrum of colors fascinated me.

Although I’m so glad I have all of these photos and blog posts to look back on, I’m most excited that I don’t have to wait another four years to go back. If you follow me on IG, you might have seen me post about winning a trip back to the Caribbean next year! I went to Turks and Caicos this past October as part of the Beaches Moms conference. Lucky me, I was blessed to be selected as the contest winner to get to return to the conference in 2019.

I had such an amazing time at the conference. I met so many cool bloggers and learned a lot about the business of blogging. Not to mention, I got some quality vacation time snuck in between sessions.

But of everything I did, the highlight for me was still witnessing the beauty of the place. The colors of the Caribbean are beyond words. If you ever have the chance to visit, I highly encourage you to go. It is so lovely, and the beauty of it all gave me such a sense of calm. Even as I write this, I am transported back to that feeling when all of the stress is gone. Take me back!
