The 3 Reasons You Need to Try T-Shirt Dresses + Cash Giveaway

I’ve been a major fan of t-shirt dresses ever since my trip to Italy in 2016. I had two different t-shirt dresses, a black one, and a floral print one. I wore them nonstop on that trip because they are super comfortable, still look put-together, go with everything, and don’t wrinkle.

Since that trip, I always keep an eye out for t-shirt dresses. I was super excited when I found this one from Zara on major sale right after Christmas. Although my other t-shirt dresses were pretty basic, this one from Zara is anything but basic. It has faux leather sleeves, with a see-through lace detail down the middle of the sleeve, with floral embroidery and studs on the sleeve as well. I also love that the hem of the dress is unfinished, so it gives it a pretty rocker vibe.

1. T-Shirt Dresses are Ideal for Travel

I do travel a lot for work and play, so I love to find pieces that pack and travel well, yet still look nice. T-shirt dresses are perfect for this. They generally are made of cotton, or other non-wrinkly material, they fold up small, and they are pieces you can just throw on and go.

2. T-Shirt Dresses are Versatile

As a busy working mom, on the weekend and for nights out, I love pieces that are versatile. T-shirt dresses are perfect in that way because you can wear them with a pair of sneakers and a baseball hat to run your errands on a Saturday, or you can throw on a pair of heels, big earrings, and some lipstick and dress it up for a night out.

3. T-Shirt Dresses are Comfortable, Yet Put-Together

A lot of women opt to wear athleisure on the weekends. You know, leggings, sneakers, a t-shirt and a hoodie, or some version of their gym clothes. Although that can look good, a lot of times it just looks like you left the gym and haven’t showered yet (in my opinion). It looks way more put together to throw on a t-shirt dress with some sneakers, if you ask me.

These are just a few of the reasons I love a t-shirt dress. If you’d like to try one for yourself this spring, here are some of my current favorites.

  2. I feel that I’m far too boobalicious for T-shirt dresses (like many dresses). The disadvantages of breast abundance are finding a dress that fits your breasts. This style doesn’t look like it was made for me. Thanks for the post.

    1. Haha! That sounds like a good problem I wish I had:) I bet you look great in a fit and flare or a-line dress tho!
