Best drugstore beauty productsWhat are your go-to beauty products? A lot of my current favorite products are from my local drugstore. It’s pretty amazing what high-quality and effective products you can find at your local Walgreens.  Given all the product testing I’ve done over the years, I figured I should share what I’ve learned so you don’t have to go through trying not-so-great products. Instead, I wanted to share some of the best drugstore beauty products under $20.

1. Whiten Teeth after Brushing

5 of the Best Drugstore Beauty Products Under $20I love my coffee, and I realized recently they aren’t as white as they could be or should be. I love this toothbrush because it has a built-in whitening pen that I can use when I notice my teeth are starting to look a little too coffee stained. Plus, this whitening pen and brush are under $15 and the whitening pen works really well to whiten my teeth quickly.

2. Hide Gray Hair Between Colors

5 of the Best Drugstore Beauty Products Under $20I don’t have a ton of gray hair quite yet, but I definitely have a few that show up in my part line. Rather than having to color my hair every few weeks to cover these tiny grays, I like to use Gray Away in between my hair colorings. It is super easy to use and great for covering up those first few gray hairs and comes in convenient powder and spray applications. Gray Away is a great alternative to coloring immediately when you see a gray hair so you can save money by extending the time between hair coloring.

3. Smooth and Soften Skin

5 of the Best Drugstore Beauty Products Under $20Nearly a decade ago, my college bestie introduced me to this amazing UK brand of skincare products. She found it in the mid-2000s when she lived in London and the brand that slowly made its way over to the US. At first, I could only get it at high-end makeup stores, but now they sell it at Walgreens! Ladies, you need to try their Flake Away for exfoliation and their Righteous Butter for moisturizing. I can’t even tell you how much I love these two products. The smells are intoxicating, the exfoliator works so well, and the butter makes my skin feel amazing. Check out the makeup section for a section that has all their products displayed.

4. Use Highlighter to Emphasize Cheekbones

I know a lot of ladies are all about makeup contouring, but I haven’t done much of that. I do wear blush every day, but I already have fairly defined cheekbones and jawline, so I didn’t feel like I didn’t much more. However, when I saw this shimmer stick for highlighting, I had to give it a try. I love this product because it is super easy to use, can be applied pretty much anywhere on the face where you want a little emphasis, yet it is very subtle at the same time. To wear it, I like to use it on my high cheekbones near my temples and also on my eyebrow bones for a little extra shimmer. I bought the slightly pink hue, but they also have a more neutral beige color as well.

5. Create Beachy Waves

5 of the Best Drugstore Beauty Products Under $20A lot of hair tools on the market claim to be the best, but at over $50, $100 or even $200, I just can’t justify that kind of money for a hair tool. I’ve also learned, you don’t really have to. I love this curling iron, and it’s one of my favorite beauty finds under $20. It works so well at creating beachy waves. It heats up super quickly and never leaves those dreaded clamp marks on my hair. I’ve been growing my hair out for awhile, so it’s nice to have this curler on hand to tame my long hair in this crazy Boston humid weather.

6. Clean Your Face on the Go

I’m usually pretty consistent with washing my face at night, but every now and then, I get lazy. I love these on-the-go facial wipes for the times I just don’t feel like going through my rigorous cleansing routine. These wipes are great because they are hypoallergenic, fragrance-free, and effectively cleanse the skin of impurities.

These are just some of the best beauty products under $20. Definitely, visit your local Walgreens to check out these products. If you give them a try, I’d love to know what you think! Happy primping!
