Plaid prints are a major spring fashion trend. Women’s Wear Daily talked about plaid clothes for women as part of the Resort 2017 collections. I’m loving the plaid spring fashion trend because it doesn’t feel emo or grunge this season. It feels a lot more elevated and modern.
When I first tried on my plaid dress I wasn’t sure about it. It fit really well but I wasn’t sure if plaid was my vibe. However, after wearing the dress, I quickly realized the print is quite subtle. Plus, the fit of the dress is so great that the print fades away. All the special details of the dress – the wide belt, the peplum ruffle – are what really stand out.
If you’re not loving plaid clothes for women, I get it. I really didn’t think I’d like plaid either, but then I gave it a try. Just like I’ve said about other fashion trends, don’t write them off before at least trying on a few pieces.
There are so many great plaid pieces for spring. If you’re looking for little pieces to give this trend a try, here are some of my current favorites. You can click on the image to shop the piece.
