When I was selected to collaborate with Cooked Perfect Meatballs, I was excited because I actually already had a bag in my freezer. I serve them to my kids at least one or two times a week because it’s a way for me to get them some quality protein and they are super easy to prepare in the microwave.I used two different varieties of meatballs in this recipe. I used the Italian Style and the Turkey Meatballs. You can definitely substitute your favorite meatball flavor to make this recipe perfect for you and your family. Cooked Perfect Meatballs come in lots of flavors, including Angus Beef, Chicken, Sweet Italian, Home-Style and even Swedish.  They are all really tasty, using the best ingredients and flame-broiled to perfection. Any of these flavors would work great in this recipe. You can find the meatballs right in the freezer aisle. How to Make this Meatball French Bread Pizza RecipeTo make this meatball French bread pizza, I bought a nice loaf of French bread in the bakery section. Once I heated up the meatballs, I used pesto to coat the meatballs. If you don’t like pesto, you could also use marinara. Next, I made a simple parmesan cheese sauce and covered the bread with a thick layer. I topped each half of the bread with the pesto-covered meatballs and then topped them with a generous layer of mozzarella cheese. To heat it through, I broiled the two halves of the bread until the cheese was melted, bubbly and starting to brown.

I chose to serve this French bread meatball pizza in strips, since the dish is pretty rich. One or two pieces is plenty for an appetizer and even for dinner, if you serve it with a nice salad or dipping sauce (you could use pesto or marinara for this).Overall, I’m really happy with how this French bread meatball pizza turned out. It was super simple to make and would be the perfect quick appetizer or week-night meal.
