Holiday Shopping Guide for New Mom Gifts

As a mom of two littles, I’m constantly amazed by all the great products out there. I had the chance to test out some new products and all of them would make perfect new mom gifts. If you have a mommy friend who is having a baby in 2017 or just welcomed a new bundle recently, check out these four products that I think would make excellent presents.

Every Mom Needs a Quality Stroller

Two of the items I tested were strollers. First up is the CYBEX Priam. Talk about a luxury stroller. This baby arrived in two large boxes, but it was super simple to put together. At first, I misplaced the directions, but was able to put it together simply without them. Next, I was mesmerized by all the features. I especially loved how tall the handle could extend. I’m fairly tall at 5’9″ and I often found my strollers too short for me. By the end of a long walk, my back would ache. The CYBEX Priam extends much taller, so it was the perfect pushing height for me.

I also love that the seat is adjustable so it can be reclined to lie flat. I remember all the times my littles would fall asleep in the stroller. It is such a great option to be able to recline the seat, as needed. I also love the hidden zipper compartment over the large canopy. It gives you extended room to keep the sun out of your baby’s eyes and also has a little peek-a-boo see-through area, so you could see your child from the top. I also happen to love how the CYBEX Priam looks. It is so chic and stylish. The burnt orange color is unexpected but still gender-neutral. Overall, I really loved the ease of this stroller. It rides really smoothly, looks cool and is easy to use.

Collapsible Stroller Is Perfect For Travel

Next, I tested the GB Pockit Stroller. I only wish I had this stroller the last time I flew with my son. This stroller is truly amazing. It folds up into a very small space that could actually fit in a carry-on. It is also fairly light-weight, so would really make the perfect travel stroller. Although it is small and light-weight, it is still super durable. I was also impressed with just how quickly you can open and close this stroller. It is super user-friendly and would be an ideal stroller if you are flying with a toddler.

Travel Organizers Make Traveling with a Baby Easier

Speaking of traveling with babies or toddlers, I wish I had heard of packing cubes before my last trip with my kids! The eBags packing cubes make packing so easy. They are super durable, breathable and help to keep all of your items organized. I was amazed by how much I could fit into the cubes. I also loved that the cubes were in the perfect dimension to fit neatly in my carry-on. When I travel, I always use the hotel plastic bag to keep my dirty clothes away from my clean clothes. From now on, I’ll bring some cubes with me to help keep the dirty stuff away from the clean stuff. These are so genius for traveling and helping to stay organized.

PJs That are Cute and Comfortable

As a new mom, you want the best for your baby. You want to invest in soft and comfortable clothing that will keep your baby warm and looking adorable. That’s where Munki Munki jammies come in. My kids loved the cute penguin print and they also loved all the little buttons on the front. Munki Munki offers lots of cute pajama options for babies, kids and even women. The material is super soft. Their goal is to create material that feels like well-worn bedding, which they totally nailed. The pjs are the most comfortable ones my kids have ever worn and all of the print options are so adorable. I also love the little details, like the embroidered monkey on one of the arm cuffs, and these little slits in the cuffs that your kids can stick their thumbs through for the whole half-mitten vibe.

Clothing That Ignites Creativity

If your kids are anything like mine, they love to pretend and use their imagination to make up all kinds of stories. I recently found out about Faux Real clothing and was so excited to get my son a NASA astronaut shirt. They have clothes for babies, kids and adults. Their shirts are such a fun way for kids to expand their imagination and play dress-up in a convenient way.
