12 Summer Sangria Recipes You Need to Try This Weekend

summer-sangria-recipes-mainSchool’s out for the summer! With graduation ceremonies wrapping up, it officially feels like summer is here. Let’s celebrate the start of summer with these must-try summer sangria recipes.

To me, summer means laid-back days, lots of grilling out and trips to the lake or beach. I’m not a huge drinker, but if I’m going to imbibe, I prefer something extra girly and extra fruity. Case in point, I shared must-try margarita recipes earlier this spring. Sangria fits the girly and fruity mark for me. Plus, sangria seems so easy to make, and it’s a great way to use all the delicious summer fruits available!

The first time I ever tried sangria, I was studying abroad in Madrid. It was one of our first nights in the city and we decided to go to an authentic Spanish restaurant where we ate decadent paella and rich red sangria. I was an immediate fan of sangria — it’s sweet, I got a quick buzz (come-on, I was in college) and I got to snack on fruit along the way!

What’s your favorite sangria recipe? Here are 12 summer sangria recipes I can’t wait to try:
